A memorial service to celebrate the life of Peggy A. Williams, 86, of Coos Bay, will be held on Sunday, July 22nd from 1-4 p.m. at the Coos Bay Eagles Lodge, 568 S. 2nd Street. There will be refreshments and a band because Peggy loved to dance!

Peggy was born on February 5, 1932 in Lodi, California to Paul and Dollie Urben. She passed away unexpectedly on June 25, 2018 in Coos Bay.

Peggy moved to Umpqua, Oregon from Elk Grove, California with her family as a young woman. She graduated from Roseburg High School and met and married Donald Evans. They had four children and eventually relocated to North Bend. Peggy was a homemaker for many years and later worked at Pauline’s  Sportswear store. After moving back to North Bend,  Peggy worked at the Emporium in the Pony Village Mall. Don passed away in 1985.

Peggy married Frank Williams in 1988 and they resided in Coos Bay, where they enjoyed running their ranch together, taking in the beautiful view and caring for their various animals. Peggy’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and many friends. She and Frank hosted numerous family gatherings at the ranch, where laughter, games, and home cooking were enjoyed, and friends were always welcomed. She loved western music, playing games, baking, road trips, flowers, reading, feeding her hummingbirds, sunny days, the ocean and babies of every kind.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Frank Williams of Coos Bay; children, Kerrie Mitchell of North Bend, Linda Apling of Eugene, David Evans of Springfield, Jeanie Dunn of Springfield, Cyndi Williams of Bend and Tami Bunker of Sisters; brothers, Carl Urben of Sutherlin and Paul Urben of Milwaukie; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family members.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dolly; and two grandchildren.

Her beautiful smile and loving heart will be missed by all who knew her. “You were our Angel on earth and we will love you forever and a day!”
