Marvin Blanton Obituary
A memorial service with military honors for Marvin Blanton, 76, of Coos Bay will be held at 3pm, Saturday, October 12 at Coos Bay Chapel, 685 Anderson Avenue in Coos Bay, with Chris Cano, officiating. Private cremation was held at Ocean View Memory Gardens in Coos Bay.
Marvin was born May 5, 1943 in Kearney, Nebraska to Theodore Earl and Zelpha Pauline (Verbeck) Blanton. He passed away September 23, 2019 in Coos Bay.
Marvin proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He will be dearly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Marvin is survived by his sisters, Peggy Crites, Bonnie Crites, Donna Cano and Marilyn Blanton; brother, Leonard Blanton; sons, Jonathan Blanton, Marvin Blanton Jr. and their spouses; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Pauline Blanton; and his wife, Juanita “Cookie” Blanton.
