Kenneth G. Byers

A memorial service for Kenneth Gerald Byers, 75, of Coos Bay will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 11 at Ocean Ridge, 1855 Ocean Boulevard in Coos Bay with Pastor Tom Stroud, officiating.

Kenneth was born May 25, 1944 in Coquille to Mary Elizabeth and Robert Byers. He passed away Dec. 21, 2019 in Coos Bay.

Ken was proud to call Coquille home for most of his life. He worked for Weyerhaeuser for many years.

Ken loved God, his wife, his family and friends. He and his wife have been living at Ocean Ridge, where he was loved by all who knew him. Ken always gave everyone he saw a friendly smile and a wave. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Ken is survived by his wife, Chris; his sister and her husband, Mary and Don Carlton; sister, Vettia Maggard; and brother, Robert Byers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and eldest brother, Jim Byers.
