Judy L. Kasper Obituary

Judy Lynn Kasper (Lemmons) was born August 3, 1951 in Wendell, Idaho, to Wendell Dale and Alice Irene (Busch) Lemmons. She had three siblings. The family resided in Idaho until 1964, at which time they moved to Coos Bay, Oregon where Judy attended Sunset Junior High School and then Marshfield Senior High School.

Judy married Ron Kasper April 14, 1990 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Together, Judy and Ron made their home in Dixon, California where they lived for many years and harvested sugar beets and grain products. Judy was very fond of the California weather, but in

1996, the family decided to move back to Oregon and have resided and worked on their cranberry farm in Bandon ever since.

Judy was a very loving, kind, generous, gracious, thoughtful, humble, considerate and caring woman. She was also funny, very witty, playful, and at times, even a little mischievous. She loved to tease her sister Patty and say that their mother “loved her more”.

She loved going on roller coasters and thrill rides. She also had a big heart for anything furry or feathered. She loved her dogs and cats and took in many strays, including raccoons, throughout the years and happily fed them all.

Judy was always a hard worker in any job she ever had. She could drive, or run any piece of machinery big or small, including the tractor and mower tractor.

Her biggest passion in life however was her family. Judy always enjoyed waiting on every family member or friend who walked through the door, making sure they were comfortable and fed. She was always so polite, even thanking everyone for any little thing they did, even when she was ill. She was very devoted to her husband Ron and to her family. She loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren and anyone else’s children. Whenever they visited, you could find her taking them on quad rides, to the wild animal park, making crafts, woodworking, baking, horseback riding, swimming in the ponds, taking paddle boat rides, catching frogs, picking berries, harvesting cranberries, shopping and to the ocean to look for sand dollars, or just going to the sand to play.

Judy enjoyed the holidays and decorating and was a good cook and excellent baker. According to her husband Ron, Judy was “the best cookie maker ever!”

Judy loved painting and crafts of all types and was very good at it. Alongside her sister Patty, she took arts classes for many years. She completed beauty school in North Bend, Oregon and went on to hold two cosmetology licenses, one in California and the other in Oregon.

The one thing that Judy was known to hate was sports, the only exception to that was watching her son, Jim E. play football, which she always loved to do.

She was dearly loved by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her and will be deeply missed.

Judy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Ron Kasper;son, Jim E. and wife, Rochelle E. James; stepdaughter, Cindy (Kasper) Schmidt; three siblings, Dale Lemmons, Patricia Webster and Robert Bertschy; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several aunts; one uncle; numerous cousins; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and stepson, Ronnie Kasper.
