A celebration of life will be held for John Kauffman, 58, of Coos Bay, at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, at Gino’s Pizza in North Bend. Private cremation rites were held at Ocean View Memory Gardens Crematory in Coos Bay.

John was born Sept. 15, 1958, at Keizer Hospital in North Bend, to Jack V. and Ellaphare J. (Reeder) Kauffman. He died Aug. 22, 2017 in Coos Bay.

John was a graduate of Marshfield High School. He married Tiffany and, together, they had one son. John completed his JATC Apprenticeship as a journeyman lineman and worked in construction line work before going to work for PP&L in Coos Bay. He loved hunting and fishing.

John is survived by his son, Kyle Kauffman; daughter in-law, Sierra; grandson, Leyton; his brother, Don Kauffman and wife, Bev; nephew, Erick Kauffman; and niece, Kristie Kauffman.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
