All our love to you Betty.... You included my daughters and I in your family from the day we were each born.  We are blessed beyond measure to have shared this life with you and look forward to the day we are together again.  Thank you for caring for my sister Traci and giving her that "SPECIAL" family LOVE....  You always had more than enough to reach anyone in need.  Family love always!

I cried when you passed away. I still cry today. Although I loved you dearly, I couldn’t make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke my heart to prove to me that he only takes the best.

Spread your wings and fly. I LOVE YOU MY GRAM!

Betty, where do I begin?  70 years of calling you sister, confidant and friend.  By God's grace we have traveled a winding path through this thing called a lifetime hand in hand.
From giggling little girls jumping on the bed , singing Jesus Loves Me in Sunday School through a myriad of changes to a couple of days ago sitting in a dimly lit room in the dark of the night, holding your hand, humming Nearer my God to Thee.
We have shared the love of family, rejoicing over the triumphs and joys, even the sorrows of each others children, and then yes, grandchildren and for you great grandchildren.  We both always knew that God, family and blessings of family were the key ingrediants of life.
What a journey, what a priveledge to have been such a part of who each other was.  Even now I wait for my phone to ring, for a text to pop up or an email to come to my inbox.  I will miss those times, but the blessed memories that flood in and the thankfulness that we had each other always comforts me.
Thank you for asking me to be a part of your final journey.  These past two weeks with you day and night, it was my honor and my priveledge to be able to hold your hand, talk to you and comfort you, sit quietly while you went through your process of letting go, then on April 24th in the early morning hours, God took your hand from mine and took you home.  No tears past the gate!
This is not good bye, it is see you later, my forever friend.
All my love always,
Barbara

Betty was an amazing women who's love for family, country and our Veterans went above and beyond the call of duty.  She was so proud of all her kids and totally adored her Grandchildren.  Rest in peace dear Betty, I have no doubt she will make her presence known to you whatever way she can.  You will find your Mother in many beautiful things like the smell of fresh cut lilac's on a spring morning, her beauty in the golden sunrises and crimson sunsets and feel her strength in the power of a thunder storm.  Remember, she will be you all of your days of your life until you all meet again at the gates of heaven.  I'm so deeply sorry for your loss.

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. ~Author Unknown

Farewell my friend.  May you rest in peace without the pain and suffering you had.  I will remember the good times you spoke of with such love. Your earthly presence will be missed, but you will live on in our hearts.
