Our fathers were brothers. Our grandparents, Peder & Ragna Berge lived in the North Bend area for many decades. We would make annual summer visits to North Bend every year from the early 1950's thru the early 1960's. I have many fond memories of playing with Peter, Rockne & Andrea in the neighborhood and trips to sunset beach. The family was together for Peder's funeral in 1975 and we met again in 1982 but for the most part the 2 families seemed to be apart until reunited by facebook. Peter and I exchanged notes all the time and I found someone interested in the family history and old photos as I was. He had a good following of family in Norway via facebook and I have seen their shock at his loss. I was planning to meet him in August - time was not on our side. Yes, it had been many years since we personally met but I felt I knew him again and I shall miss not being able to share an interest we both had. Rest easy Peter - you were loved by so many !

I never had the chance to meet Peter, but I had planned to go to the USA this summer along with my Dad and Sister, and Peter was high on my «want to meet»-list. Since I got to know him online, he was the most caring of all: he wrote many encouraging and nice messages not only to me, regarding my music and projects, but to a lot of the norwegian relatives. We also sent messages to each other and I luckily sent him last year my 2CD as a gift along with some other presents. His sudden death came as a shock and I am so very sorry for your loss. I mourn with you, for a man I never met, but I felt in part I knew.

I want to dedicate my song HEAVEN SOMEDAY to Peter.

We are so sorry for your loss. We were blessed to have known you as neighbors years back and that our girls played together. Our prayers are for your strength at this sad time.

Peter will be truly missed. Always a smile on his face and a wonderful caring person. Peter was my parents business UPS driver in Arago, and mine in Coquille. There was never a person Peter wouldn't talk to! A man who will now be spreading joy in heaven now!

Peter was more than just a great brother to me, he was also my best friend...! I will miss but never shall I forget him. I have a Lifetime's worth of memories to help me through.

It was a privilege to have known Pete for 30+ years as our UPS driver. We were additionally blest to have visited with Peter on the Friday before he died. Pete was such a people pleaser with a great personality. Our office looked forward to his frequent visits with his big smile. We grieve for your loss and grieve along with you. May God bless you all
