A celebration of life for Travis Carl Alexander, 25, of Powers will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 3, at Pacific High School, 45525 Hwy 101 in Port Orford. A potluck will follow at Mr. Ed's Espresso, 1320 Oregon St. in Port Orford. Private cremation rites were held at Ocean View Memory Gardens in Coos Bay.
Travis was born Oct. 23, 1992 in Portland. He passed away Feb. 12, 2018 in Gold Beach.
Travis was raised in the Sixes-Port Orford area with his close knit family. He had a real love for the outdoors. He wore his heart on his sleeve. His passion was hunting, but he enjoyed fishing, ATVs and camping. Family outings, in the woods, brought a smile to his face. Travis graduated from Pacific High School and quickly found his soul mate. They married August 2, 2014 and moved to Powers to raise their son. Travis proudly became a timber faller for TDH Cutting.
Family meant everything to Travis. He is survived by the love of his life and wife, Ashley Alexander; son, Bobby Ray Alexander of Powers; his father, David and Momma Kimberly Alexander of Sixes; mother, Cindy Barlow Laubsch and Tim Laubsch of Aurora; brother, Shane Alexander of Sixes; sister, Brandy Alexander of Port Orford; sister, Jessica Quant of Burns; brother, Austin McDonnell of Coos Bay; brother, Jerimiah Alexander of Sixes; paternal grandparents, Bob and Dorothy Alexander of Sixes; maternal grandparents, Ervin and Karen Barlow of Mill City; several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and other close friends will miss him greatly.
Travis was preceded in death by his uncle, Robert Alexander Sr. April 26, 2010.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ashley Alexander at Oregon First Community Credit Union.
