A graveside inurnment for John “Johnny" or "Bo Bo” Vincent Post, 83, of North Bend will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 21 at Ocean View Memory Gardens, 1525 Ocean Blvd., in Coos Bay with pastor Bob Pedigo of Madison Street Community Church, officiating. A public visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – noon, Thursday, July 20 at the Coos Bay Chapel, 685 Anderson Ave. in Coos Bay.

John was born Dec. 21, 1933 in Seneca, S.D. in Sanator County, to Clinton Ray Post Sr. and Mae A. (Todd) Post. He passed away July 12, 2017 in North Bend at his caregiver’s home.

John was 4-years-old when the family moved from South Dakota to Empire, Ore. He resided at that home for almost 82 years. John went to school until eighth grade; he was smart and had a good memory.

He had a paper route for many years, he was very dependable and his customers loved him; they could set their clocks by him. He also went to Star of Hope. John was an icon at the end of Spaw Lane and Cape Arago. He would be walking to the store or sitting in his walker at the end of the street, people would honk and wave at him as they went by, some would stop and talk to him.

He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.

John is survived by his siblings including brother, Durwood R. Post Sr.; and sisters, Dora Watson, Emilie Elbert and Marlene Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, and siblings, Bonnie Foreman, Clinton Ray Post Jr. and Darrell Todd Post Sr.
