Thoughts and prayers are with the family. I got the pleasure of meeting Mike through his son Jeremiah. He always made me feel like a part of the family. He will be sorely missed. RIP Dad Oxford.

My sincere condolences to Mike's family and friends. I have many fond memories of working and playing with Mike from the time he became the Coos Bay BLM Inventory Specialist until my retirement as Salem BLM Inventory Specialist in 2008. Mike was always a pleasure to work with on inventory projects due to his forestry knowledge, teamwork skills and work ethic. Fond memories abound of our inventory group meetings and work sessions at the BLM State Office in Portland where we worked hard and played hard too. After a hard day at the office, we enjoyed lively conversation over after work beers at Kell's Irish Pub and other establishments as well as the fine dining opportunities in downtown Portland. Mike was always a good soul regardless of the situation. Good times will not be forgotten!

Mike and I were going through Chemo treatments at the same time and there was a couple of times we ended up doing treatment on the same day. He was one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He will be missed.
